This blended learning course is made up of two parts. Part one is self-paced, online review of the AOM course content using AOM handouts, video segments, and independent exercises. Part Two is in-person instruction consisting of hands on practice and testing with an instructor. Personnel enrolled will receive training including, but not limited to, in-depth knowledge of medication basics, safety practices, proper and appropriate technique in administering medications via various routes, documentation content and procedures, and recognition and response to common medical conditions. This training is valid for 3 years upon satisfactory completion of all course requirements.

Schools are encouraged to enroll personnel that will be managing student health conditions on a regular basis.
